Sunday 29 March     The Masterpiece Concert     NAPIER
To kick off The Masterpiece Tour I return to a happy hunting ground, the MTG Century Theatre in Napier. I have been playing here since it was opened in 1977 and it is just the right size for a piano recital. The concert starts at 3pm. The MTG Century Theatre is located at 9 Herschell Street, Napier. Thursday 9 April   The Masterpiece Concert    TAURANGA
This concert is co-presented with Tauranga Musica, the mainstay organisation for classical music in the Bay of Plenty: https://tgamusica.co.nz/
The venue is the Addison Theatre at Baycourt, built in 1983 and holder of many happy memories for me. The concert starts at 7pm.

Friday 10 April    Gallagher Concert Chamber    HAMILTON
This concert will take place in the Gallagher Concert Chamber on the Waikato University campus, one of the top recital venues in the country. I have made many recordings here as well as giving regular performances. Great stage, great acoustic, great piano. The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Sunday 12 April    Town Hall Concert Chamber    AUCKLAND
I have always enjoyed playing in the Town Hall Concert Chamber and the piano here is the best-maintained in the country. The start time of 3pm and the choice of a Sunday should encourage those who are not so keen to go into the CBD at night.

Tuesday 14 April    The Turner Centre    KERIKERI
This concert is co-presented with Aroha Music Society, keeping classical music alive in the far north. The venue is the Turner Centre and my connections here are strong, built around the great success of the Kerikeri International Piano Competition.The concert starts at 7.30pm

Friday 1 May    NCMA    NELSON
The NCMA Auditorium is another top recital venue, one I’ve known since I was a teenager. I’ve yet to meet a performer who doesn’t love it. The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Sunday 3 May    The Piano    CHRISTCHURCH
The Piano is the newest venue on the tour and it is first class - great stage, excellent piano, fully equipped and wonderfully comfortable for the audience. The concert starts at 3pm.

Wednesday 13 May    Opera House    WHANGANUI
This concert is co-presented with Chamber Music Whanganui and takes place at the Whanganui Opera House, a classic Victorian theatre full of history. The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets can be bought online at RWOH.Ticketsearch or at the Royal Whanganui Opera House box office. Hours Monday to Friday 10am to 1.30pm

The Globe is essentially my ‘home’ theatre and I have spent many happy hours performing here. This concert starts at 7.30pm.

Sunday 17 May    Memorial Hall    WAIKANAE
This concert is presented by the Waikanae Music Society as part of their regular series. It is at the Memorial Hall, another venue I feel I know like the back of my hand. The piano is an excellent Fazioli, the only non-Steinway I will play on the tour. The concert starts at 2.30pm.
